Dragon Theology

Here's Alex Tang's helpful diagram (and short write-up) of the Trinity:

In addition, you may wish to consider the below as metaphorically reflective of the substance/ontic complexity the Triune God:

3 in 1.

Each "center of consciousness" cannot be simply equated to the other "center".

But all three "centers" can be individually equated to God, even as God is all three of them.

I like it. I am certain that ultra-orthodox (those that have no sense of humor anyway) won't like it; but since we are dealing with the Infinite God, it is probably no better or worse an analogy or explanation of the Trinity. I find that unless you use the exact terminology of the creeds, you fall into one heresy or the other (usually modalism). Yours has a certain charm.

Maybe I can use it to finally get that dragon burned into my left forearm :-)
