There's a welcomed frenzy and exertion of the kind I don't complain about. In fact, I don't get enough of it.
Tomorrow (Friday) I may be continuing the final instalment on prayer at my young adults' group. I hope to share something on imaginative intercessory prayer as well as introduce the idea of radical/authoritative prayer.
Then Saturday there's an exciting get-together at Bangsar Lutheran Church (see the wonderful ad material above and the full write-up). We'll be exploring various views of the person and ministry of Jesus. Who did he think he was? What were his key objectives in life? What were his plans for his followers? Could there be something (important, even) about Jesus we "never knew"?
The perspectives we'll be listening to are:
1. The "Catholic" Jesus, by Collin Nunis
2. The "Evangelical" Jesus, by David Chong
3. The "Pentecostal/Charismatic" Jesus, by Pastor Luke Chan
4. The "Eschatalogical/Third Quest" Jesus of N.T. Wright, by yours truly
Then it's on to Sunday and Affirmation Class for my church's teens. Topic is the Lord's Prayer - lots of material to cover, lots of adolescent energy to keep in check (and learn from)!
Busy busy busy(!)...but then again, what else could a wannabee theologian ask (and give thanks) for? I'm just glad to be picked for the task(s).
